The Company was incorporated on 8 September 2005 under the Bermuda Companies Act with the name IRF European Finance Investments Ltd. The Company seeks investment opportunities in the financial sector in Europe with a primary focus on financial institutions, investment funds and insurance companies based in South Eastern Europe. The company also focuses on financial institutions outside of Europe, select distressed opportunities in other industries in the United States and, generally, companies which previously may have been an investment grade.
In November 2005 the Company completed its initial public offering and the shares and warrants were admitted to trading on AIM on 14 November 2005.
On 19 January 2009 the Company's admission to trading on AIM was cancelled and its shares and warrants were simultaneously admitted to trading on the Specialist Fund Market of the London Stock Exchange plc.
IRF is an exempted company incorporated in Bermuda under the Companies Act 1981. As such, the rights of shareholders may be different from the rights of shareholders in a company incorporated in England under the Companies Act 1985.
